This policy explains what information Bake Nook collects when you visit bakenook.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

In plain words
- We collect very little: basic visit statistics and anything you choose to email us.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Clicking a product link takes you to Amazon, which has its own privacy policy.

Who we are
Bake Nook (“Bake Nook”, “we”, “us” or “our”) runs the website bakenook.com. We publish research-based guides and reviews about bakeware and baking tools. If you have any question about this policy, email hello@bakenook.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you include in your message.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, some technical information is collected automatically through cookies and similar tools. This can include:
- Pages you view, how long you stay and how you arrived (for example, from a search engine).
- Device and browser type, screen size and language.
- Approximate location, such as country or city, based on your connection.
- Technical data needed to keep the site secure, such as signals used to block spam and harmful bots.
We do not ask for, and do not want to receive, sensitive information such as payment details, health information or government ID numbers.
How we use information
- To run, secure and improve Bake Nook.
- To understand which guides are useful, so we can update and improve them.
- To reply to your emails, questions and correction requests.

Third-party services we use
We rely on a small number of trusted services. Each one handles data under its own privacy policy.

Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google’s own privacy policy explains how it uses the data it collects.
Affiliate links and Amazon
Many of our product links go to Amazon. When you click one, Amazon may set its own cookies on Amazon’s website to record that you came from Bake Nook. This lets Amazon pay us a commission if you buy. We never see your name, address or payment details. As an Amazon Associate, Bake Nook earns from qualifying purchases. Read our Affiliate Disclosure for more.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies for analytics and security. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Full details, including cookie names and how long they last, are in our Cookie Policy.
When we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only share information:
- With the service providers listed above, so they can do their job for us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Bake Nook, our readers or others.
- If Bake Nook is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy would continue to protect your information.
How long we keep information
We keep emails only for as long as we need them to answer you and handle any follow-up. Analytics data is kept according to the data retention setting in Google Analytics, which is 14 months at most for standard properties. After that, Google deletes the user-level data.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email hello@bakenook.com and we will respond within 30 days.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have the right to know, correct and delete your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request. We will never treat you differently for using your rights.
Visitors in the EU, EEA and UK
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you also have the right to object to or restrict our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. We rely on your consent for analytics cookies, on our legitimate interests for site security, and on your request when we reply to your email. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
Children’s privacy
Bake Nook is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email hello@bakenook.com and we will delete it.
How we protect information
We use secure HTTPS connections, security tools from Cloudflare, and access controls on our site and email. No website can be 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. We will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Major changes will be clearly noted on this page.
